DIY BEADED SUGAR PLUM GARLAND

Anyone else hoarding beads that they should probably do something with?

I decided to put some of my bead hoards to good use, to create a sugar plum fairy inspired garland that will look cute all year round, but is great for adding some extra sparkle at Christmas!

YOU WILL NEED:

-Beads- I used a mix of wooden beads and crystal plastic beads.

-Invisible thread

-Blue Cord

-Thin Needle

-Glue gun and glue

STEP ONE:

Thread a n

eedle with one end of invisible thread, leave the other end on the reel for now.

STEP TWO:

Start threading beads onto the thread, Mix up colours, sizes and types to give a lovely sparkly mix of beads along the length of your garland. Keep on threading on beads until you have the desired length of garland that you were aiming for.

STEP THREE:

Use a large blob of hot glue to trap the end of the invisible string in the final bead. Once dry and secure, repeat with the other end of the garland. Make sure to keep your beads as tight together as you can.

STEP FOUR:

Cut two lengths of coloured cord and ties them a couple of beads into either end of the garland, this adds a dash of colour but also allows you a decent length to tie your garland up.

You could use the garland around your tree, or hang it up for all to see. It could even be a glamourous way to hang your Christmas cards!
