MAKE YOUR OWN POCKET ADVENT CALENDAR | CRICUT

Create an advent calendar that you can get out every year! I love a pocket advent calendar, we always had one growing up that my mum would fill with little toys and treats, which always felt so special to open every morning.

I love this blank advent calendar from Hobbycraft this is the third calendar I have made with it and I just can't get enough!! It's so easy to personalise it with images cut out of Iron-on.

I used images from my own Happy Christmas Image set in Cricut Design space, they work perfectly on the pockets in the green, pink, and red colour scheme!

YOU WILL NEED:

-Pocket Advent Calendar

-Iron-on in 4 Colours

PROJECT LINK:

STEP ONE:

Open up the project in Cricut Design Space. If you would like to design your own advent calendar, create a template of 24 rectangles and add images and numbers to create your desired design.

STEP TWO:

Lay the first sheet of iron-on-on face down onto the mat, make sure that all of your images have been mirrored in Design Space before loading the mat into the machine. Select iron-on as the material you would like to cut, and start cutting.

Once the cut is complete, repeat the steps for each sheet of iron-on until all of the project is cut.

STEP THREE:

Next weed all of the iron-on sheets by taking off all of the iron-on, leaving only the designs on the clear carrier sheet. Once weeded cut around all of the individual pieces.

STEP FOUR:

Turn on the EasyPress Mini (Check the temperature using the Cricut Heat Guide). Press the first layer of the images, then wait for each layer to cool before peeling away the clear carrier sheet. Then continue with the next layers, making sure to remove the carrier sheet between each layer.

STEP FIVE:

Add the numbers in any order you wish. Press and then remove the carrier sheet once cool.

STEP SIX:

Finally add the Merry and Bright header and press using the Easy Press Mini, wait for it to cool before peeling off the carrier sheet. Fill the pockets with little treats ready to hang up and enjoy!
